The later models had the intakes moved outboard slightly and had the plates taken off.
I think you mean the splitter plate The F-111A, E and EF has a large splitter plateclose to the fuselarge, know as Triple Plow 1 and the F-111C,D,F and FB has no plate but the inlet stands further away from the fuselarge and is enlarged. According to my book that is
On more point, is the escape system modelable as the pilots dont simply eject?
I tried to make the 111 have the little flip up deal on the LEX, but it created so many look throughs I abandoned it. As soon as we get Z-Buffering I'll add it back (aka probably never

Hi Mike,
Nice work as usual. I have a question though, what kind of art file is a png and why do you use it?
A PNG is just another image format. It was designed as a replacement to GIFs because Unisys, who owns the patent on the compression scheme used by GIFs, started sueing and demanding payment by companies who made software that created GIFs, even though they had not enforced their patent for the previous 10 years...
Anywho, PNG is a relatively common format. I used it because it's the only format that I know of that allows ARGB palettes for 256 color images.
Wow...nice pics. Nothing like seeing work on a web forum somewhere . That first pic was Cannon in the wintertime. In the summer just imagine it hotter.
Oh I know Vegas in the summertime...the ten years I've spent here at Cannon, I bet a cumulative year and a half of that was up to Nellis for Red/Green Flags, FWICs, or one of our runway closures.
I was up there the whole month of August this year. GoodNESS that was hot.
Hi I know it is a bit late in the day but here is a couple of stills from a video of an F16 with chute deployed....
