Texture's are pretty done / ready for a beta... still some bad tiling errors but that's why it is called beta
The few remaining can be adressed for a next beta.
About the rest I don't know - Snake_Man?
OK so lets clear the table, where do we stand now...
Have I got all the tiles as of today?
Should I package all the crap together for beta (public or whatever you wish)?
Anyways whether the beta comes public or otherwise tomorrow, or months from now... I guess its time to start hunt that server to host it. It will be ... I dont know, 240mb or so, which in normal f4theater standards is largish. Any falcon sites that would want to host that?

Afghanistan was the first.
However this is the first theater with 512 res tiles made by REAL tile ARTISTS. Afghanistan was just my own tile work which was horrible, but it was the first 512 res tile theater indeed.

I have space (unused) available, but only allowed 10 Gig Xfer/month, that's no way enough for a "Public Beta". Now let's see 10Gig divided by 250Mb equals roughly 40 Downloads then I will have to close the tap ...
Let me know, will have to set up an FTP account

It seems to me that now we are just waiting word from Ami about any remaining tiles, then this thing would be packed up to first beta for tile-guys to verify everything works.
My concern is campaigns, I hope to get them checked so there is no crashing campaign. But I dont even want to think about mission generating problems...
And we do have hd space and bandwidth to get this theater spread, but its been quite long already that we haven't "hosted" any theater downloads. You can get only those theater related utils from here.

We'll have to verif that we have enough space, but as soon as this beta is out - one of the 87th VFW can upload it to our own FTP server. All the Stray Dogs would download this theater for our private FTP server instead, saves some bandwidth for the other servers.
I have the feeling with ODS v0.512b that we have the law of jungle here, strongest will survive...
I mean if someone REALLY wants this theater, he finds it under some rock and can download. We dont need some multi-mega-mammoth server host blabla advertisements going on. The underground theater peeps will get their hands on this one way or the other

I have plenty of bandwidth to send via IRC DCC the theater to those who visit me in the theaters channel (name KG) (see pmc page - contact) or on quakenet #semper (name [Semper]Sniper)
The tile-maker guys need to verify that the campaigns work, at least somewhat. After this test (and possibly if Ami brings in last minute tiles) its ready for public.
And I have absolutely no clue whatsoever how this public spreading does happen

beta gave me some probs - campaing 2 and 3 crashes... desert storm did run but no flights - Snakeman could you look into it?
Also a ctd with message of unable to open terrtex cpp in midfligth over desert terrain... weird.
Maybe its just a bad install on my side (i'm offline now...)
EDIT: just found that the texture.zip is from 30.6 so it cannot be the right one...
As I told you half year(or more) ago: "I'll be back", here I am.
I am ready for duty!
I can recive files by ICQ (so Widmak could you pleeease send me this?). DCC did not work on my PC - I'm behind NAT. I need to make some settings on my Router and in mIRC, can somene help me with it?
PS. Snake my email is enricos@2com.pl in case you lost it...
