Re: Georgia Theater Airfields/Airbases
Hey gents, thanks for the vote of confidence
I can do that but it's a very long term project for different reasons.
1. I'm still a little bit pissed
(in the good way) about all the hard work I put in Nevada and having nothing done after that work.
2. I promised a UI map for the taiwan guys and that's what I'm finishing in top priority. (although I'm stalled waiting for some stuff there)
3. My Falcon airbase spreadsheet I maintain for 10 years doesn't even have a georgia tab started, that means I have first to collect real world data for that region.
The good thing is that we can maybe use a lot of info from Lomac ...FC ... (for selecting airbases)
4. I'm not flying AF, not FF, so if that terrain is n't for OF? I 'm afraid I can't even install it.
5. But I suppose that the number of airbase in the end (after the slashing) will be very few, as in reality in the region.
So Yes, If you guys aren't too much in a hurry, I can try to help. As usual I'll need the spreadsheet with all the airbase information as Snake usually sent in the past.
Sherlock, you still have my email address

Nothing done after that by PMC or by yourself, I don't understand what you mean?Red Dog wrote:1. I'm still a little bit pissed(in the good way) about all the hard work I put in Nevada and having nothing done after that work.
Just send any Taiwan material you got over here, all will be added into the next release. What stuff are you waiting for Taiwan?2. I promised a UI map for the taiwan guys and that's what I'm finishing in top priority. (although I'm stalled waiting for some stuff there)
PMC theaters are for all Falcon 4 versions4. I'm not flying AF, not FF, so if that terrain is n't for OF? I 'm afraid I can't even install it.
Yeah the biggest problems from the DCW data made airbase lists are that they have too many airbases. Dunno what backyard strips it lists but its just way too many.5. But I suppose that the number of airbase in the end (after the slashing) will be very few, as in reality in the region.
Okay I'll import the airbase CSV and email it to you. If you read this and have no email waiting, please let me know.all the airbase information as Snake usually sent in the past.

Re: Georgia Theater Airfields/Airbases
If I remember well, I did the Nevada airbase alignement work in V0.3/ v0.4
V0.4 & V0.5 were released and my work wasn't in there ... airbases are still all 05/23 doubles
So it's lack of PMC work, not mine.
Taiwan has nothing to to with the install files, it's just the design of the map that is stalled, Waiting for stuff from Derstef there. Nothing PMC can do there.
I got the mail already

Glad to hear the ball slowly rolling..again
BTW, DCS:A-10 warthog chooses Georgia for operation too!
the pic may help determine the ABs/objectives of military significance.

Re: Georgia Theater Airfields/Airbases
maybe we need more CIS airbases?
three AFBs are not enough for CIS air power!!
