Mapfact leaked WrpTool
It was brought to our attention that in Mapfact Workshop the Mapfact guys leaked these three titles:
ODOL Explorer v2.45
PanTool v1.4.0.0
WrpTool v1.01 Release Candidate 2
These releases are unauthorized by WrpTool Development Team and were not meant to be released. Mapfact was specificly informed NOT to release these titles, yet they did.
Its really sad to see Mapfact conducting themselves in such manner

Re: Mapfact leaked WrpTool
Maybe i misunderstood the facts, but if i didn't read wrong they didn't relesed the tools to the public, but they "demonstrate" 'em at their workshop.
Or am i wrong?

Maybe it starts from publishing features and state of development on open meeting stages.

I suspect there's a communication problem here. Hopefully all will be solved in a peacefull and friendly manner.

hmmm .... too many people with their own agendas I guess. This is not the open OFP community I know and love ..........
Re: Mapfact leaked WrpTool
As far as i know, and dont quote me on this, wasn't there a problem with communication and Sniping Jack did have talks and offered one of the WRP team a place at teh workshop but they could go so they represented WRPtool there for you. As far as I know they didn't hand it out either, it was just a demo of with it could do.
Again though, dont quote me on this.

So what's the aim of this topic then
Maybe a word from snakeman could clarify the situation.
I hope this will not lead to something unpleasant for the tools development/release themselves.

First of all, that one developer that was invited to the Workshop is Dschulle. There is no doubt that he is the driving force behind WrpTool. As far as i know, and dont quote me on this, wasn't there a problem with communication and Sniping Jack did have talks and offered one of the WRP team a place at teh workshop but they could go so they represented WRPtool there for you. Second: He already posted in the official forums, that he doesn't share SnakeMan's opinion WrpTool has been leaked. Mapfact indeed distributed a DVD that contains the WrpTool final; but this was with Dschulle's permission. So how can it be leaked, when it's authorized by its author?

Re: Mapfact leaked WrpTool
I have no real opinion on this either way, but in my eyes it's the equivalent on someone working with a mod team, then right before release taking all the models they made and passing them around and showing them off to various other mod teams in a private forum, who may or may not then pass them around to their friends as well, who then mention that fact in public.
I can see both sides of the fence, and I personally don't see the harm in it based on the info, but I can sure see how the miscommunication can be perceived.

Re: Mapfact leaked WrpTool
There never was much of a team. Just Snake_Man trying to get people to do what's on his own agenda.
This thread and the one in the BIS forum is just a typical example of how he reacts when somehtings not going his way.
He's making a fuzz about things that he knows are completely different. Just that those things don't fit well with him.
You might fool a few people by this Snake_Man, but I doubt that you make yourself many friends whith this constant mudslinging when somehting goes against your agenda.
(I wonder how long this post will last here before he bans my whole IP range...Anyone taking bets? )

At Ofpec, we only list (and host) 2.0. Clarification on this would be appreciated.
Mapfact are a reputable organisation that have made many things possible in the ofp world. It is unlike them to have agendas of their own, contrary to the community spirit.
