Tacedit 2.0 Problem

Post by krfrge » 2002-08-05 23:39:00

Why would TACEDIT stop displaying the "owner" that I try to choose for a squadron or battalion? Anytime I try to add a unit I get this problem.

I have recently reinstalled a fresh copy of Falcon 4.0 to do some work on some older theaters.

Is the Properties pages Theater and Objects directory configurations correct?

Snake,

Everything seems correct.

Theater Directory = d:\MicroProse\Falcon4/campaign/SAVE

Strings Directory = d:\MicroProse\Falcon4\terrdata\objects

Hmm make it \campaign\save :)

And Objects dir is important to be correct. If the theater you're editing is not using its own objects dir then use the default korean terrdata\objects dir.

btw the topic says tacedit 2.0 but I hope you're not using such old version?

Snake Man,

Same problem with the latest version of TACEDIT. I still don't see what country I am selecting when using TACEDIT to produce a TE or campaign. I don't have a clue as to what is causing this. Any suggestions?

Would be reasonable to think its the terrdata\objects dir in Properties entry thats causing it.

SM,

Still no luck. I have done a complete dump and fresh re-installation and still no way to tell which country I am selecting.
