New TacRef Editor

Post by T_Rex »

Hey all,

Good news and bad news (sorta). :)

Skyfire has made a new TacRef editor! That's the good news.

Skyfire's getting ready to go on vacation for 2 weeks, so if there are any problems, you'll have to wait! :) (Ok, maybe that's good news for Sky.) :)

Very nice indeed Skyfire.

for those that need missing files (as mentioned in the readme).

This site is a great resource.

Well, I'll leave next wednesday, so that leaves a few days for you to find bugs ;)

Besides, I'll probably send the code to Snowman before leaving, so in case of big problems, he may be able to fix them.

Sorry for misplacing the post in the F4 forum at first. I guess I didn't really think of this as a theater tool. :)

We gotta think of a tool for SF to work on when he gets back from vacation.... :)

T-Rex - How dare you (or Skyfire) release a new tool without a proper name! ... so what is it called? ;-)

Guess I should use this thread to plug the "TacRef Team".

The "TacRef Team" is busy filling in the 640+ entries in the SP4 TacRef. If anyone wants to help out - it's a breeze with this new tool - just contact me and I can assign you some entries to research and write up.

BTW I have been using this tool for a while and it's great!

Sky - you over-estimate my coding abilities, but I'm sure that my questionable skills won't be needed.

(Sorry T for the 'hijack' (again) ;))

I had a hard time coming up with a name for this one.... I tried:
ETRE/EXTRE/XTRE
EXperimental Tactical Reference Editor

Or
TRXE - Tactical Reference eXperimental Editor

Or
TEX - Tacref Editor eXperimental

But I just couldn't come up with anything I liked. :)
