Ok, things are kinda settling down, so I'm back in the won't-it-ever-be-finished Bering Strait theater mode.
Here's the deal, I've gotten the dem stuff from the site in the tutorial, but it basically starts at the 180 meridian and goes toward Alaska. When I try to get data from just to the west of the 180, across the 180 then onto Alaska, it tells me I want 190M worth of data. Basically, to calculate what I want, it goes all the way back to the prime meridian, back across the Atlantic and North America, then to Alaska. What I have to do is only use the Russian area that's on the east side of the 180. I can work around this, but it is still kinda problematic.
What I'd like to know is if there's some way to get two sets of dem data, then piece them together. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
T
