A very nice front view layout of F18c!
dunno if the digits blur in that size.

WOOOOOW! GREAT!!
Aeyes, you r right, i used to use mig29 cpt.dat file for testing.
and yes, you new pit view is the RIGHT thing we need!!
Once i converted your wide view for test, and spent 2+ hours in dogfight mode, i realize its not suitable for AA or AG. We need a layout closer to efalon 1.09 pit, say, larger closer view.
your new pit looks really cool.
As ususal, Im flying it now

Lol, you are one funny guy, isn't blowing it up to 200% making it look like you need glasses? because it ain't available in the 1024 res yet.
And yes i prefer the 1.09 type of pit after flying that above the wide views. It gives you more a feel of being able to touch your buttonry plus it enables better graphics/details.
Maybe i 'll let ya have the higher res one with a working dat to fly a bit with when i have adjusted it.
Oh yeah before i forget, what sim is that canopy bar of in the greyish F-18 pit u show?
I am about to install Jane's F18 again to have a look at avionics inthere

Re: F/A-18 cockpit in the making?
Excellent!! As usual, superb quality!!
pit fans, be sure to grab it here:
http://www.angelfire.com/my/falcon40/Hornet.htm
BTW, i found the E model panel is very similar to your C model, yeah?
The major difference of panel layout/art, probably the UFC panel, buttons replaced by a touch-control plate.
it could be cool to find: when clicking on UFC button, the button shows a blimp of green.
hehe, Aeyes, how about simutaneously releasing TWO models?
and, any project to upgrade mig29 and F4 phantom pits( closer for larger HUD)? zoom in original files and add some details wont take you long, the toughest thing probably the dat files

Re: F/A-18 cockpit in the making?
Yes always is the toughest part, the datcoding.
I tell ya what, if u find a way to make the Mig-29 look like it should with the LE, and i mean for example with a nose like Cleopatra had, i am certainly willing to make a new version of it

I'll give it a try... or scale your mig29 pit to 120-140%.

Great work you've been doing. Thanks for it all.
Would it help if I, or someone else, could do some of the dat editing to help?
Perhaps that could be a way for you to continue on in the graphic side while someone else does the coding.

Re: F/A-18 cockpit in the making?
To be honest, no. I haven't looked at it but I did read Xis's How-to and understood what was being said. I can understand programming logic (sometimes!) but have a hard time being an Artist! <- said with a french accentquote:Originally posted by Aeyes:

The only problem that I can see would be keeping up with you!
Seriously, I would like to help, I'm just not sure how fast I would be or even if I could do it, but I'd like to try.
Maybe I'll dig around in an F-16 dat file and see what's there.

Re: F/A-18 cockpit in the making?
I remember in GCS' hornet3.0, there are some threat lines projected on HUD for better SA.
hmm...it could be too late for eTeam and SC owner to build some avonics for this wonderful pit.

Re: F/A-18 cockpit in the making?
say, i remeber Julian told me new avonic symbols available in v1.10, but its a long while ago.
Anyway, we definitely need this hornet pit.
According to posts on frugalsworld, you'll be able to play Carrier takeoff and landing in ef1.1. Surely we've witnessed eteam do this in their preview vhs clips.
I think they'll do their best to add as many goodies as possible in this release..after this, it could be a long dark wait till FV. Maybe Snacko allow authorized mod-makers do some underground test?

Re: F/A-18 cockpit in the making?
Yup, carrierops is one of the reasons for making the Hornet pit
It is possible that HUD data can be changed with a tool after the 18th, but not sure yet about latest info on that one. The clock is ticking. . . . . .

CCC, Ayes
I've seen some dogfight and airshow HUD video tapes of our Swiss AF F/A-18's. There are lots of HUD symbols in the F/A-18 I've not seen in Falcon yet - and some have different shapes and layouts, but that doesn't hurt as much as missing ones... anyway, you are doing great work there, I like it...
