naval strikes
it was the first few missions in a F-16cj squadron. and the first two i think was both navals strikes. i head out to the target area except is it all empty. how do i fly a naval strike? i realise that naval strikes in korea were all against a base. but this one is against nowhere.

Re: naval strikes
Which campaign? Try switching labels on as a test to see if the units are actually there. Without labels, you should use the SEA A-G mode to search for targets.
Naval strikes can be against sea-borne targets or ports. Check the briefing.

this time i got two patrol boats and sunk them
another qquestion about su-17s
it seems that i cannot shoot them down no matter what i do
i saw one getting hit by 5 missiles (4 bye me and 1 yy my wingy) and it was still flying and without any smoke!!! i closed in for a gunshot and same thing. it just kept flying!!! lol

Re: naval strikes
I have faced a similar situation in the Korean campaigns. There is a specific patrol that I cannot find. For example the 77th Patrol Task Force cannot be found. I have many times tried to attack this enemies but I end up avoiding this patrol task force. Ships usually move and this means that they move from they are supposed to be, so you cannot find them. Also as with the 77th PTF, previous naval strikes attack this target and after destroying it it doesnot exist, so it is nowhere. This happens to me when I take SEAD missions and there are no SAMs where they are supposed to be since they were probably previously destroyed by other aeroplanes.quote:Originally posted by snowball:

Re: naval strikes
Use Recon view in briefing to check where the target is and get visual cues for where you should be looking.
Also - don't forget AWACS Vector To Target.
