i hope Pumpyhead could build F-2. he's built F16 variants for all falcon mods.. after all F-2 is a variant of F-16..could be modded from his existing model.
i've passed all related FS model files(from japanese falconeer) to him.

Re: Test 3d toys in sim - warning -pics.
Ripper's beautiful F-14 models has been in service since early days of falcon modding, probably around 2000 or 2001.
As no hi-poly models to replace it, i did some tweaks/upgrades on old lod in 2004, yet it still missed one feature.. the spoilers. now add it..
AFAIK F14 spoilers do not work as airbrake..(in pic #3), so the acdata file should be edited like this..

Re: Test 3d toys in sim - warning -pics.
NEW hull, rough skin, bridge structure borrowed from WASP lod.. just too lazy to build a new superstructure part..
i build a rough model to check "how's the feeling to land on it".. first, flyby..
slow down and approaching the deck..huh? the animated seasparrow launcher is aiming upward?

Re: Test 3d toys in sim - warning -pics.
well.. the landing is a bit off.. the standard approach is slowing down and moving parallel to the deck- but over the sea, hover and sidewalk to deck landing spot, then vertically landng on the deck. not an easy trick in sim try.
this time better..
launch again!

Very cool ccc.
I actually saw the LHD-1 when I was in Norfolk last month, tied up to the pier.
The possibilities with a working LHD and Harriers and A-4s...Falklands anyone?

another ship for test.. this one was built in 2006.
compared with previous carriers, this one has larger landing deck, much easier to land.

My goodness. I never saw this thread before. Took me more than 2 hours to get through it. What a wealth of 3D models. Very well done!

mig-31..tex-mapping, detailing, and animating some parts. the airbrakes are re-arranged as Xswitched-DOFs. airbrakes are deployed once gear down, act as lift device/flaps. once gear up, they resumed to normal airbrakes.
there's a photo in airliners.net, showing low-slow-fly mig31 with gear-up, airbrake-deployed setting..it's hard to model it with current code.
Latest news/vid shows CIS is testing indian mig-29KUB on Kuz..here's mine
