Re: Wonderful! Dragon bring us new toys!
Glad you liked it! I was pretty sure many would enjoy the Mirage.
Hacking out the shape is pretty simple to do and doesnt take long. Taking it to completion is a different story!
First, there can be anywhere from 3 to 5 LODs that need to be modified. (I have 3 of the 5 done for the B2). Then, textures have to be developed. This can take the longest as I dont do the graphic work. Then the textures have to be mapped correctly (this again doesnt take long but is a tedious process). There is also the shadow LOD that should be modified.
Anyway, I plan to finish the Mirage thru completion along with the J-8 and B-2. Not sure what would be next except that I really dont want to do anything again like the Mirage. Without the proper AWACS voices, I would rather stick to the ones that are current in the voice files.

Yes, I am sure that the PC group will be able to get "Mirage" to speak but not sure if we will ever get that capability for the Mac. (Not so sure I want to tackle the job of porting over that program... hehe)
Anyway, have not really decided on what model to do next. I want to finish up these three but it is kinda fun starting from scratch!

Re: Wonderful! Dragon bring us new toys!
hehe before the a/c speaking french, its time for Aeyes to speed up his superb mirage pit!
btw, suggest use viper's outer underwing pylon(sidewider) for mirage.
and, since LOD modeling sounds so easy, could we have some re-shaped fuel tanks for mirage..they are quite different from US fuel tanks.
as for ammo, magic I/II, matra530, mica, ASMP, exocet, BGL,...tons of toys! drooling
btw, still my old proposals:
1.flatten the nose of mig23, got a mig27.(sounds it could be done in no time, many theaters need this one).
2. mirage III/5.
surely, complete these three shape first!
if you need skin painters or other support, let us know.

Re: Wonderful! Dragon bring us new toys!
Here is the list of what we added in our current RP (added refers to new parent records, textures and LODs):
J-5: Have worked on the tail section briefly.
Q-5:
Su-7:
J-7:
J-8: Have completed 3 of 4 LODs. Almost done!
Su-15: Working on new textures for new model.
MiG-27:
Su-24:
MiG-31: Wings have been modified
F/A-18E:
F-4G:
Mi-26:
Mi-8:
CH-46:
Mi-28:
CH-53:
B61-3 (nuke): Complete.
B-2: 3 of 5 LODs complete.
For all of these, we have the LODs copied to the end and new textures assigned. This means that the F4G uses a different texture than the F4E as an example. My plan was to modify all of these models to make them more accurate.
Of course, I have the Mirage LOD and need to continue working on that.
On most of these items above, nothing is cast in stone. If you can find some good shots of a variant, along with some dimensional data, we could use that for the model. I would guess that the Su-15 would be next as it will be developed from the J-8 model.

Re: Wonderful! Dragon bring us new toys!
i found myself getting anxiety lately. keep checking your site, watching at those shots and drooling
for the sake of God, where's the pc version of LOD editor?
well, it seems Vnam theater is the best stage to play J8II and USN a/c!

Re: Wonderful! Dragon bring us new toys!
First off, congrats to Dragon for the M2K!;-)
FYI, Aeyes has restarted work on the pit after some technical problems...We hope to have new screenies up on our site soon.
The "Mirage" voice, could be easily done with the TLKeditor.
Apart from that, we are still on a holding status for the 3D model. Lolo, has built a beautiful one, but we are waiting for more progress in the conversion area.
Either way, 1.10 will allow new 3D models in but we can't wait till that!
Again, hats off to Dragon for his hard work;-)
Cheers,
