Editing .aii file

I've been having problems with mission generation (with the update too, but not as severe) and I've done some tinkering. Can someone explain what this line in the .aii file does?

"MaxFlymissionNoThreat=10"

I've changed it to
"MaxFlymissionNoThreat=50"
and now I'm getting more missions generated. Is it because after 2 days of intense OCA the IAF is no longer a threat and the Iraqi army is static therefore also no threat. Under these condidtions is the campaign engine not generating strike missions because there are no "threats"?

I've changed it to =100 and seems to work even better. What does this line do? What will happen when (if) the ground war heats up?

Hi Recce and welcome aboard.

Unfortunately I cannot tell much about the AII file as haven't done any work on them. Hot Dog One is the guy who knows hes way around them.

After two evenings of testing, it really seems to have boosted the sortie generation. I'll keep plugging away and let you know what happens.
