Friendly or enemy??

During the second campaign of ODS theater I have come across some aeroplanes that I am not sure I am allowed to attack them. They have no problem attacking me but I don't know if I can. The aeroplanes' names appear in yellow whereas enemy have red names. I have had a similar experience in Korea2005 where some SU-27s with orange names attacked me. I responded accordingly and in the mission debrief my rating was horrible, obviously because I shouldn't have attacked them. Also the kills on these aircraft were not recorde on my logbook which means that the were not enemies but probably neutrals. If this is the case with the orange and yellow names, and I shouldn't attack them why do the attack me?
Could someone please help me in this problem??

No. Reds are Iraqis. Yellow are Iranians.

In Black Phoenix you are cleared to engage all Iranian targets.
