Did you miss the F-15 S ? Along with the I and K, they are the most advanced F-15 exported, with perhaps the F-15K being the most advanced.
No I didn't forget the F-15S of 92 and 55 Squadron but I didn't think these were in the Sp3 database and therefor didn't mention them in the ORBAT.
Sounds logical right? Well in fact I DID forgot about these :p

Skinpatches should not at all be in Theaterinstaller, other groups/persons should compile a Skinpack for ODS and release/update it seperate rom the theaterinstaller.
/widmak
Anyone know if there is something new in "Skins" available yet for ODS?
And the question asked of Basil (by Kinggeorge IIRC, couple weeks ago), re ODS skins changing the Korea ones?

I sended upgrade to r6 for KG to test on, so far it looks good.
Even if there would be last minute changes to ODS v0.512b r7 we can now seriously start to plan the distribution of this 247mb theater.
Any hosts?
Any ideas?

Snake Man
Like I said before, I have some unused space in the US that I can host a PRIVATE not PUBLIC Beta on (FTP only PLZ!) with 10 Gig allowable transfer / month so that would allow me to distribute to about 30 PRIVATE TESTERS via FTP (leave 2.5 Gig bandwidth spare for "unknowns") before closing the gate.
Let me know - Account is already setup.

Sounds good Rob i'll give you the public beta when i have it later on tonite - i was thinking about you as distribution "platform" to other hosts and sqadrons and your friends (summa sumarum 30ppl as you said...) Maybe you leave an email here for any people wanting to contact you. All others may simply join irc (see contact page) or irc on quakenet, channel #semper and query [Semper]Sniper. I have lots of bandwidth for dcc file send
Hopefully terrapin will also host it asap for his special sponsors (give the size..)
Till evening
Georg
PS: Dont ask for it until theres a message here that it is gone public

Hey, its everything to be excited about, another campaign, and all. Now, can this beta be given out to others, sorta as a public beta, like if i were to say, hey guys check this out, will that work?

KG has now the ODS v0.512b r7 installer. Hopefully he can get it to the places that want to host it.
This is the public beta, yes everyone can have access to it who just wants and more importantly finds a download link for it.
Tilemakers and objective linkers along with UI clown has done a great job. I thank all who has been working for ODS. Thank You.

Excellent work!

OK, making a start. I mean trying to find out the internals, how things work instead of just flying around enjoying myself.
Lot's of reading, "Tacediting" ahead ...
Dumb Question #1:
@Snake Man: did you use TCL scripting to create the Campaigns? If yes, is the TCL SRC available (like it is with the "new" PMC Korea Campaigns) somewhere?
Yeah, I know "ODS 512 Camps are the IP of who gives a US$" LOL ...

Rob -
Two ways to make campaigns, one using TCL scripts which create campaigns very quickly, or by hand (a la Panama) which make them rock solid.
I've done two now for Panama, both are proving to be rock solid. If you're up for it (read as - nuts), I'll send my "Long Way Round" tutorial... (will take a day or two to compile of course, I didn't expect to ever find another nutter around here...)

Hi Malcolm
Thanks for the reply. Don't know yet about me being "nuts" or not, ask me in a months time ... Just decided (OK, Kinggeorge provided some good encouragement
you can send your "Tutorial" to me at
RobC@parks-sa.co.za - and anything else you might want to chat about.
By the way PANAMA is my favourite "small" Theater. Never use Korea anymore (except to make sure base SP3 runs after doing the Falcon "Dance".) Thanks for creating it for us

Yes of course.

No but I'll pack up the scripts and upload them. Please remind me again if the download link doesn't appear soon.
quote:Yeah, I know "ODS 512 Camps are the IP of who gives a US$" LOL ...
Well I do hope that nobody edits the existing campaigns and RE-RELEASE them because it just adds the confusion. Everyone is free and encouraged to do new "Theaters" for ODS Theater (the theaterdefinition tdf file for Theater UI selection) and therefore three campaigns to each newly added "theater".
Can I describe it any way more difficult?

So you suggest that TCL scripts create somehow less stable running campaigns?

Here is the
Tacedit TCL scripts ODS v0.512b campaigns.
They are a mess, only the OIF desstorm3 dirs stuff uses the new MakeSquad that Codec was so kind and created for me to easily create squadrons. Others use the more lamer copy-paste method but that creates the correct aircraft squadron numbers.
Other than that it should be quite familiar with user whos taken a look at PMC Korean Campaign's TCL's.

Thanks - no need to worry about me undoing your "IP"
People who do that are "low lifes" (unfortunately the world is full of them)
I just want to get into the internals of all this - new challenge. Also tired of all the F4UT vs FF vs RestOfTheWorld vs TheSourceCodeIsMyIP stuff. Maybe, with all your (PMC) and Malcolm's help I will be able to make somthing new that folk can use. Find some "gotchas". But I have to get my 50 year old brain in gear again ...
Thanks for sharing the Scripts

No, not at all. I feel when using the scripts all of a sudden I have loads of brigades and battallions I have to place, check orders, objectives, etc etc and it gets very difficult keeping track of whats done, not done, etc. This (for me anyway) is an easy way to let errors appear.
Doing it manually, I know for sure each and every time all orders and objectives, etc are exactly as I wanted them.
In no way am I inferring the TCL scripts are no good... although I think I might have... for which I apologise!

Hello Swampy you can get it here.
http://www.pmctactical.org/f4/downloads ... ion_V2.rar
It is needed for people that have f4patch crash when using the ActivationPatch provided in the ODS_V0.512 package.
thnx BT5 (Pacman) and BT6 for reporting and help testing to fix this bug.
