Thanx, but I will try it anyway -----

Think it is a important project for the vietnam-theatre.

But there are a few other planes I miss:

- Syraider A-1
- CorsairII A-7
- Intruder (bomber-version) A-6
- Crusader F-8
- or any other hog from the F-one-hundered series

Hope you guys don't give up on the vietnam-part of f4 because of any moneymaking-fightersim-release in the near future.

If more modelers join playing LE, we can have more a/c in short time.

as for A6, cheeck:

Shwan just released a nice shot of his A6 shape!

BTW ComGP, nice "F105 download page"! Image

Great work, thanks Comgp! Your thud looks good and so does your downloadpage.

But you're right, it won't be fun to fly this "little" bird until you changed its size and power parameters. Remember, the originally thud was a huge, overpowered, very fast attacker (or bomber) and able to carry a big load of bombs.

I noticed there are some people looking for pictures of some aircraft. I have a few I took while in the U.S.A.F. 1979-1982.
A note, while my website sdtil seems to be up, many website hosting comapnies are dumping their support, and mine on NBCI.com may be wacked away one of these days, while these companies dump free services, and unfortunately the days of unlimited free space amy be numbered. If you find a picture I have, but you need a better copy, let me know.

Well forget about the old f105 model I WILL USE THIS ONE (always that ccc alow me to do it since it's his own model done with 3ds)

Still under development, and it crashes, but i think this is ought to the way i have appended it into falcon.

well here is the shoot in falcon, its the black shade, the model is pretty good, thanks ccc.

hmmm.. not bad Image

honestly i think my 3ds model uses too many vertices, just too many. probably as many as those used in MSFS.

I think fuselage could use less, and spend more vertices on undercarrige or some small parts.

well, im not going to modify that shape..almost forget everything about 3ds max.

one more thing, the advantage to use 3ds model is, you can reduce the same shape for LOD2-7, using Optimize functon...though it works odd sometimes, this function is very attractive, as we got complete LE support.

btw ComGP, delete that black pic. its classified weapon...stealth. Image

and this one, i posted it on Combatsim board in Nov 2000, you can tell how long it takes to become a reality! Image

I mapped the f105, working nicely, i just gotta redo the node tree, this is ccc's model with janes's usaf textures, anyway, i will make a whole new one texture whenever i finish up the node tree.

AWESOME! ComGP, I cant believe you did it!

I suppose we'll wait new LE to fuse trianglar polys, then start something..so you are hard-core Thud fan!!

hmm..not to disappoint you but, i suggest you stop working on this model. When i saw your typhoon built with transparent canopy, canopy frames and panel, i know my thud model is outdated.

F4 3d modeling is evoluting so fast..i can hardly catch up!!!

Well, with a little bit of work in that F105 i can add transparent cockpit and all of that stuff, cockpit seat, even a 3d cockpit can be done, but first i wanna finish the ef2000, i work in this model from time to time.
