Trigger file command SET_PAK_PRIORITY

Post by Sherlock » 2007-04-13 18:52:50

Studying up on trigger files and came across the

SET_PAK_PRIORITY 6 228 100

command.

I understand what it does, in general, and I understand that the "6" is for team #6 (right?) and the "100" is the priority number (scale of 1-100) assigned to the pak area.

But what is the "228" number signify/mean? Tempo?

Trigger files mostly cover objective IDs, so its an ... well objective ID most likely (altough I have no facts about this command specificly). Also makes sense, "for team 6 set pak priority of baghdad to whatever".

Well, your very close (I found the answer over at Frugals :) ). The command changes the PAK priority in the original SP4.2 Korean campaign for the city of Seoul (South Korea) which held the CampID (Campaign ID) number of 228. Notice that Trigger files use CampID and not standard Database ID which can be different.

Since this thread is discussing trigger file commands let me ask another question:

What does the

#CHANGE_PRIORITIES 2 1

command do in the context of the SP4 Korean theater campaign?

Here is my guess:

//Changes offensive operations mode for Team 2, ROK, to Defensive? (This is a guess)

anybody know for sure what it does?

Umm I scanned the tutorials but couldn't find "facts" for it there so maybe I'm tired and shouldn't answer this, but oh yeah I'm certain that objective id and campaign id need to be the same...

They aren't the same in the SP4.2 Korean campaigns. For example, the city of Seoul has the following info assigned to it:

ID = 1065

Camp ID = 228

On the other hand, I know with the PMC add-on theaters these two numbers are pretty much always the same because the objectives are generated at the same time as the numbering is applied so the ID# and the CampID# both end up being the same.
