A VTE config bug?
Only in the VTE MOD, when a soldier (player) lied down for crawling, if his face is to low, it goes thru the surface of terrain .This bug don't appear when running official OFP (even VTE soldier on VTE island).
More ARVN units (Rangers, LLDB...) and Montagnards will be a must.
Green background in mission editor make reading uneasy.
But anyway, it's a wonderfull Mod!

Can you try to move the x_vte/dta/Anims.pbo somewhere else and try then, does this still happen?

sorry it is when I move anim.pbo (not anims.pbo) to x_vte/addons than everythings is OK on crawling position.

Yes sorry I got them mixed up; dta/Anim.pbo - 10.8mb is the new animations from Sanctuary. If those causes the face-in-the-ground then all you can do is to replace the animations with different one or completely delete the pbo, up to you.
However I have played quite alot VTE v0.3 with these animations, in fact I use them now on my basic PMC setup also, I have never detected any face in the ground things, perhaps I look at the fight and not ground when I crawl? hehe.
