Photoshop; filling image with single color

Post by Snake Man » 2009-11-23 16:07:42

Photoshop; filling image with single color.

What I want to do is to take any image regardless of the contents and fill it with single RGB value color.

Practical example: I have 3d model texture which alpha channel has black and white shades, but I want to clear everything up and make the whole channel totally white (not transparent). The Paint Bucket Tool is nice, I tried to see its features but it does not completely fill the image.

Any tips how to make completely one color image instantly? :)

Create a new layer, select that layer, then use the paintbucket tool on that.

You have to save your RGB picture into format which has alpha channel. Targa format is one of them. Then you can edit that last alpha channels opening it in "Channels" view. This you will accomplish by enabling Window->Show Channels. Hope it helped.
