Life returns to normal after the disappointing PMC 10th Anniversary MP event, so I just restarted our server with VTE v1.4 mod.

I know its like giving your hand to a dog that just bit you, after seeing how the MP event went down the other weekend... but I still want to play some VTE multiplayer so I was thinking that perhaps we could get together at some specific time because again after that MP event, I've seen you guys (few of you heh) to visit our server daily. Just yesterday I was really bummed out as I checked the server log like practically 5min later after you guys disconnected.

People live in different time zones and setting a time for MP is always difficult, but how about if you guys just like post here when you get on the server, maybe that would eventually get us there at the same time when we learn and adapt by seeing others joining times.

Of course if you guys would bother to come to IRC, then it would be no problem...

Just thinking out loud. My own time is pretty much always available for MP, the only problem is that if I remember to check server often enough to see you guys there. So please let us/me know when you're going to play and surely you can have me there as company, who knows maybe someone else too.

I guess everyone is on summer vacation as there is no interest for VTE MP, not even from the "usual gang"?

Our server has been upgraded to use extended eventhandlers (XEH) v0.7.6

Download CBA_v0-7-6.7z or CBA_v0-7-6.zip.

Please note that you need ONLY the "cba_extended_eventhandlers.pbo" and "cba_extended_eventhandlers.pbo.cba_v0-7-6.bisign" files from this packet. There has been unconfirmed reports that if you try to join with full CBA (the downloaded packet) pbo's in the mod dir, you will be kicked by the server as it doesn't include anything else except the actual XEH, so its highly recommended you only use XEH with VTE.

Hi All....finaly got play VTE last week and had blast, but had errors with Extended Events Handler befor loading mod other then that all was good.

So i leave to go work for 5 days out of town, come back load up vte and cant see Server online..... is the server down..?

At the moment the whole linux box is down since hour ago, I don't know why. I'll post when it comes back up...

Someone asked our VTE v1.4 public key so I have added it to our ArmA 2 downloads and ArmA 2 VTE homepage now.

And the PMC Tactical multiplayer linux server is still down, I don't know why as I haven't reached Lone Wolf yet. Apparently its now down for longer time than just small maintenance or something. I'll get back to you guys on that as soon as I know whats going on.

Got a word from Lone Wolf now, PMC server (hardware) is down permanently. Most likely we wont be renting new one with the bad ArmA 2 community. If someone wants to donate server, please contact me.

Its a shame, I really enjoyed playing there the few times some of you guys joined, I played there a lot alone as I developed dedicated server missions (you can run much heavier missions on MP than in SP machine). But I have to face the reality, if there is practically nobody playing, it is not justified for me to pay money to rent a new server (this previous one was free for us) just so it can sit idle when nobody joins.

However I am more than willing to put up and maintain PMC Tactical ArmA 2 MP server if someone provides me with linux shell box, but chances of that happening in this community are nil.

For two days now we have been playing and the server runs good. So join us. Server name: VIETNAM: The Experience (VTE) on PMC Tactical

You need latest VTE v1.4 + XEH/CBA.

When we last time played we used the old(?) XEH v0.7.6 but now I believe we use full CBA from dev-heaven page which is v0.8.3. Sorry but I'm confused as you are regarding CBA/XEH stuff

If you download VTE from http or torrent and build mod dir manually, you need to get the xeh/cba thing to work, if you use Play With Six, then all you need to do is Install/Upgrade VTE and click Join.

We have been playing every day now, I'm truly amazed that the daily visitors count ranges in about 5-7 people. To many of you this might seem laughable amount of players, but since we had practically non existent MP community with VTE in the past few years I find this very refreshing that every day there is someone to play with.

v1.4 runs good, missions play nice, things are good.

I highly recommend joining the server and checking things out, its great fun.

PMC Tactical VTE server was down for quite some time, sorry for that. Now I have just brought it back up and it will stay up. Everyone is welcome to join in some Vietnam: The Experience multiplayer action.

Server has been upgraded with latest beta v1.62 data files as well as CBA v1.0.1

Please switch your -mod dir accordingly when trying to join our server now because of the CBA upgrade.
