Help with exporting

Post by Recon » 2004-08-18 11:21:53

First to say, what a great tool you guys made!

But I have a problem with exporting parts of my island, no matter what I try I can't get a selection with the so called power of 2 (32x32 or 64x64). Is there a trick to it or do you have to be very precize?

And yes I have read the manual

Can you tell me step by step how did you try to export, so we can find out where it went wrong or bugs?

OK:

In the export box I have both options (export objects and restrict to ofp loadable sizes) ticked. Then I use the option 'Select by dragging a Box' , and a draw a box. I try to keep the box as square as possible. Sometimes it works but when I try to import in a new island I get the error: Can't find road object

But most of the time after I dragged a export box I get the following message: X-size is not 2^n! Change or disable 'OFP loadable' checkbox. :'(

Yes it says roadobject not found because it cannot import the whole road system. So you lose the WrpTool placed road (file .rrp) data, but all basic terrain, textures and objects are there.

I believe this is good to mention on the manual though. Thanks for letting me know.

Yes thats because you didn't drag the precise sized box :)
