Alpha Release

Post by Indy11bravo » 2009-05-09 13:51:37

Im new to the forum, been playing a pretty dated release of VTE for a while. I Just wanted to say the latest looks great. Im waiting on a better internet connection before I can join the fun online.
Some initial thoughts.... I love the work being done on the A1 sandy's...the textures have improved quite a bit. I am curious though, does the airbreak have any effect? I tested it and didnt notice any real effect, though looks nice! Also the Napalm looks pretty. It does seem over powering. I was knocking out whole armored columns with the napalm alone!
I see you have the place holders for the OV-10's too. Any news on their addition? They are some of my favorite aircraft from that era. Anyway, great work and congrats on the release. Looking forward to playing online.
One final Question. Im a relative noob to ARMA online. Ive played with the editor since its release, but never online. Consequently, I installed all my mods into a single folder  Can anyone provide a list of the original files in arma/addons so I can begin to divide them out? Also what do I need to play online for communication as well as any other mods in addition to VTE? I appreciate any helpful guidance.

I'll reply to this topic once then close it as it would be more trouble to move the pieces into proper topics.

Welcome to the forum.
does the airbreak have any effect?
No, its pure eye candy.
Also the Napalm looks pretty. It does seem over powering. I was knocking out whole armored columns with the napalm alone!
Okay I'll keep that in mind.

Do you have any real life references what happen when tank is burning, can it survive it all the time?
I see you have the place holders for the OV-10's too. Any news on their addition?
They are being fixed now, time just ran out for final alpha release. They will be on the next releases.
Can anyone provide a list of the original files in arma/addons so I can begin to divide them out?

For PMC Tactical server, only the required addon XEH, nothing else.
