F4AF F4Browse v2.5

I tried to look topic for this but I couldn't find, strange. Anyways.

I was using F4Browse v2.5 for Allied Force and found out that it wont time-stamp the files when I save. Now of course we can learn from other sources which files are updated, but its king of strange that it wont timestamp the edited files. Am I doing something wrong?

No, the "normal" F4Browse time stamps files when edits are done.

The last round of FF4 editing, I was told that (old) F4Browse didn't time stamp files. But honestly, I never really checked.

Before my early retirement when I was editing ODS, Europe and Vietnam databases F4Browse (which version escapes me now) did time stamp the files it edited. How else could I have tracked down which file should I add to the installer.

Also I used now the latest F4Browse in my dir which is 2.31 I think when I edited Europe database for RV and yes, it time stamped the files. So its all good baby.

F4browse always timestamped its edited files.
version you use might have specific issue.

I noticed this today as I was making changes. I can open the FED file back up and my changes are stored (to hardpoints anyway) but the file date/time doesn't change when I press the update button. Are not all the files getting changed?

Well after you make changes and save it are those changes enabled next time you open F4browse, if so don't worry.
As I said I remeber 1 or so versions having this issue. but I never used any hacked or mixed data files.(Spx vs AF ).
