Training flight over Las Vegas:
taking off from Nellis airbase landing North Las Vegas Air Terminal.
The problem is that when I select the TACAN channel North Las Vegas Air Terminal (116X) I am directed to Mc Carran International, in fact this airport has the same TACAN channel 116X.
in the list of airports in nevada theater I read as follow:
North Las Vegas Air Terminal TACAN: 116X UHF/VHF: 360.75 125.7
Mc Carran International TACAN: 116X UHF/VHF: 257.8 118.75
.. at this point if I select UHF/VHF 360.75 125.7 am I directed to North Las Vegas Terminal?
if so, how is this possible? (I've tried with COM1 and COM2, but I could not put the numbers of channels UHF/VHF)
thank You

First keep in mind that when you see UHF/VHF frequencies just ignore them , they are for Open Falcon and NOT for Falcon Allied Force .
Now the problem that you have is known , so learn this :
When 2 airports share the same TACAN channel , then the game change from one to other airport just at the middle of their distance . I give you an example to be very clear :
Airport 1 : North Las Vegas , Airport 2 : Mc Carran International , same TACAN channel : 116X ,
TACAN range of Airport 1 : 50NM , TACAN range of Airport 2 : 25NM and distance between them : 90NM .
Well the game always will change the receiving signal from 1 airport to 2 just at the middle of their distance , when you are 45NM far away from both of them .
When you are 44NM from airport 1 and 46NM from airport 2 , then you have indications from TACAN of airport 1 (North Las Vegas) (TACAN range of Airport 1 : 50NM) .
When you are 46NM from airport 1 and 44NM from airport 2 , then you have no indications for TACAN .
When you are 65NM from airport 1 and 25NM from airport 2 , then you have indications from TACAN of airport 2 (Mc Carran International ) (TACAN range of Airport 2 : 25NM) .
The methodology for sharing TACANs is : the game engine change from one TACAN station to other just at the middle of their distance and if the half of their distance is equal or less of the nearest's TACAN station range , then the pilot have indications at HSI !
I check this situation very well and in combination with GPS of the TACAN stations i understand and then check the methodology .
I hope to help you , just take some trials and see if i have right .
