v0.512 Bug Report

Post by Malc » 2003-08-03 09:33:00

I knew I wouldn't be able to wait til Monday... had another quick flight, I found two bridges at

X:642 Y:1603

The bridges are not crossing any water, there are irrigation channels closish, so maybe this error is due to non-availability of correct tiles yet?

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also, at
X:668 Y:1588
I found this... sorry for image quality, it was taken at 2am Zulu
In all east-west river crossings bridges seems to be placed on land 90 degreeds the wrong way. Also, the river has som hawaii blue color instad of regular river color in that tile.
The placement seems to be ok, although the palette seems to be off.
Ami -
Here's another. I suspect it is a palette problem again.
OK, the daylight screens are of tiles HVEGE305 through HVEGE308.
The night time shot is probably of HTRAN103 or HTRAN104.
I've noticed that too - no beachline tiles near the water resulting in the ugly transformation seen above. It's on the Saudi coastline near Bahrain, I'll dig up some coordinates.
Yes there are lots of not tole - but tiling errors. We will have to quality tile it sometime... No need for coordintates - you would have to report coordinates for every 10km of theater ;)
Hi guys - ran into a strange issue twice now on a ODS campaign with the new beta and wanted to make you aware of it. I'll be testing further to try and determine what the source of the problem is but here goes:
Mission was to attack a warehouse that's sitting out in the middle of the water instead of on-shore at Al Kuwayt. Approximately 43 miles from the IP I went to switch my auto steerpoint advancement off and when I pressed the 4 key on the ICP (using a keystroke CTL KP4) Falcon locked up. I don't get a CTD or any error - it just stops. I've never had a problem using this keystroke to go intoauto steerpoint advance and, to my knowledge, there isn't an issue turning it off. It may be something specific with the theater and I'll check that further tonight (test turning it off in other theaters, etc) I have a savegame with the mission available if that will help.
Thx in advance!
Ok, another bug.
DReaper, member of the 111th is flying a Black Phoenix campaign.
1.- It seems that the altimeter and the altimeter radar score +600 feet at sea level and over the dunes (both of them).
2.- The ATC don´t stop the take off planes when he is landing in emergency.
Thank you
I'm trying to create a new TE, and choose Rasht (located as per pic) as a base. I do a recon, and F4 crashes, giving me an error
"Failed to open ..\DesertStormTheaterAddon\terrdata\texture\MWROD20D.pcx"
This particular image is not in my texture.zip?
How much do you need reports of misaligned/misplaced airbases? Seen a few so far, do I need to report them, or are they already known about?
Thats interesting, there is only
HWROD201
HWROD202
HWROD20A
HWROD20C
So there cant be such MWROD20D tile at all. Seems like CATE did it, so my config files must be wrong somewhat. It was city in the transition of forest and arable land.
Anyway, I fixed it now manually and if I still remember the case on next beta, it should remain fixed there.
quote:Snake_man can you tell me what those tiles are?
In that segment there is arable land and pastures. Both are with rivers and of course transition, but pastures also has roads.
Some of those tiles are with wrong palette.
Yes please keep on reporting with airbases that are wrong somehow. At least X,Y coordinates but the full name of the base would be great.
Hi all,
Love the new high res theater. It really get a much improved sense of speed over the standard theaters. However, the TO is still slow due to the low res of the runway. (anyone knows where to find hi-res images for the runways?)
Now, after starting to run the second campaign OIF, I saw in the smal theater window that the updates of the clashes are located all the way to the north of the window. I.e. when there is a clash at Basra (the text says) the red or blue flashing dot is not located near where Basra is supposed to be but all the way to the north.
Anyone else noticing this?
Kind regards,
Drummer
Oh i'd love to redo runways - the pics are not the prob rather how to do them. I#m not familiar with the objects texture stuff - and after all ods has koreas objects anyway :/
fly ODS512 today.
ods-iran vs iraq. experience stutters...it seems 512 texture is too much for my poor game rig.
ods- 1991. suggest remove choppers from select list. some a/c not flyable? A10, A6?
DB issue with Max ranges, they need to be adjusted for better mission generation.
