ODS v0.512 First Impression

Post by Malc » 2003-08-02 21:11:00

F****N' IMMENSE - BLOWN ME AWAY!

Guys - Tile Artists in particular...

Not only are the graphics very well drawn, they've also made redundant every other freakin' theater out there!

The sensation of speed is immense! It's like flying at x4 but with full control of the plane. I actually slowed down(!) while cruising, cos I was going "too fast"... it's f****n' brilliant! I'm NEVER gonna fly above 1,000 feet again.

Right, enough gushing, serious beta testing starts Monday, by fuck is this gonna be good...

I think such a post pays off the long nights looking at a mess of pixels, doesn't it Ami? ;)

I'll throw my 2 cents in here too

You guys have truly outdone yourselves this time <g>

This new 512 terrain rocks something fierce lol,,, puts the older ODSv.4 to shame

Outstanding work gentlemen :-)

I know, I was getting headaches just looking at them. The primary reason for backing off on the airbases.

The transition tiles might havbe some x-mas tree effect in... but the generic should have correct n8 lightning as well as the city ones should have it including along streets there. It's so much work we could spend another 6 month for making them better...

KG - go take a break and enjoy that "hot" summer you folk are having, can't believe it, your temps are higher than "my" African Bush at the moment

But seriously, I am sure we can live with some of these problems, after all this is still "Beta" and you guys have done such an awsome job already you DESERVE a break!

KG, the tiles that were apparently damaged have been resubmitted in their origonal forms. They´ll have to be changed ( palettes )
