the mod looks good.. i am checking it.

some random findings in your DB/3d models.. no serious..

- your SA-11/17 battalion has no swnowdrift radar vehicle?
- i noted fircan vehicle is replaced with square pair radar?
- some radars(pathand, flap lid) won't turn to face/track target.. you may set nDOF=6 in LODeditor to cover radar DOFs..but not working.
- SA-2 loader vehicle has one slot. your may set nSlot=1 in LE and add [weapon-SA2] in F4browse/Edit-visible, to make it carry a SA-2 missile. not - i found the size of SA-2 missile is off..

Yes. It is intended. Beacuse SA-11/17 has own FCR its modeling should be close to radar guided SHORADs. In old style setting if you killed the search radar of battery it remained silent.
(Check how is set the radar vehicle slot number in current version for SA-8/11/17/19. The fire rate is lower but much harder to eliminate a complete battery. Maybe I will make a step back and I set differently the batteries. Current setting was made for testing ad feedbacks. It is a big surprise me even not a "radar carrier" vehcile is designated as the radar vehicle SHORADs still work but they are less agressive. I can set the one of radar SHORAD slot number = radar vehcile number but in this case if you are lucky and kills that vehicle the battery is completely knocked out.

It is hard to find which is better. Bigger fire rate or bigger survieability?

Damn, they have the same parent. Same issue as SA-3 dual launchers. I will sacrifice another usued vehciel to get back Fire Can.

I did not touch them. They are 100% same as FF5.5.5. They are not mine fault. IMHO a "who cares" issue as long the game functional. :)

Ok, can be tweaked further. It is good to know.

1. for SA11/17, you may add snowdrift as search radar vehicle. it won't affect the rest TELAR vehicles.

2. for shared CT record or parent number. it's ok for current DB editing. Only serious DB editing needs adding new CTs and linking all new stuff..like ITO2.

3. SA-2 transporter with SA-2 loaded, the missile size is off. you'll needs a scale-up missile lod to make the whole thing look right. no hurry..just eye-candy.

I do not have chance to fly yet. Look at tactical reference, the tires of F18 in showed out side of fuselag . I m not sure I may did something wrong.

-blue ac has aim120 store in 1982? blue side has mitsubishi F-2..yes i noted its loadout is edited.
-blue ac has no BLU-107/durandel in store. it's hard to set weapon store properly for different timeframes..in one install.
-J-5 or J-6 may use Doctor X's AA role edit to make them more aggressive in aircombat.
-overwhelming red air power in first day.
- lots SS romeo spotted in first day.. well i found many KF16s are tasked antiship.. they should do CAS/interdiction first.
- fly KF16/F-4..ok. A-37 unable to set weapon parameters/FM and loadout need further tweak.
- i have not checked GU movement yet.

many DB edits are noted..i'll check red side later.

BTW fixiing AT-16 would be cool.

I know but it can can only 'S' symbol. When the battery knocked out the search radar also goes offline because of code. This is why only SA-10 get seacrh radar. Eye candy. It looks good. All other radar is quite old. Removing search radars from battaeries was one of the wise decision of FF team. Why? Because IRL ARMs cannot target these stuff. But in Falcon generates extra target. Confusing not good. It is enought issuse - to me - that search radar of airbases and othe objects can be targetted. In short, no search radar for AD units is better for modeling.

Not WIP. As I have said in release post only 1991 have been touched. The rest of two campaign is untoched. 100% same as they were in 5.3.

Yes, this is the problem. F-16A in 1982 should get AIM-9L. Because of this goal it cannot be used in 1991 when all US AC carried AIM-9M. This is also problem for A-7E. F-14A can be used in 1982, but F-14B has AIM-9M in 1991. Same cas F-15A/C. 1982 F-15A + AIM-7F+AIM-9L, 1991 F-15C + AIM-7M + AIM-9M.

What is this? I do not want to give AA role for J-5/6. They should be the horde that tries knock out the blue airbases. One of the biggest problem that these AC attack 100% unimportant targets even their tweaked role scores. J-6A can be a figher, they are acting as have to be.

In 1991? My friend lost ZERO airbases during the test until day two 18:00. Red side literarlly lost ALLof airbases even the blue side has smaller strike capability then ever and olny A-6E has LGB in the campaign. (And F/A-18C sould have, but I forgot to add its sq. stores.) In 2D world 4 Mk-84 equipped A-7E and F-4DSK are very effective against airbaes. Yes, in 3D world also can be effecitve but it requires certain target designation method for AI.

I have no idea whan can be the problem. Sometimes 1st launch leaded to CTD sometmes 6th. Even if it is working the 8 tube rack is non existant. Su-39 is not suitable for any campaign therefore it is not a serious issues to me.

MiG-23MLD works, I can update Aristoteles skin for MLD. Thx.

btw i notice you've fixed many ac loadouts. good job.

and.. i didn't find optic KAB-1500/kr. KAB-500/kr-HE-PEN. these weapons used to cause CTDs.

500 kg optical KAB have been added for some AC, but 1500 kg has been not. I did not delete for some PRC, because they not know well them + in even the '90s with PGM they were only dream...

It is a serious question for gamebalance that with a much easier aiming and PEN warhed can have a red AC - MAV aiming - but blue AC have to use much complicated LGB aiming. I can add if you wish.

- nice jas39 model. a bit sink into ground, need FM.dat tweak.
aileron animation seems reversed. starboard aileron flip upward when braking.

- mig21PF loadout is off.. AAM on centerline slot.

- A-37. hard to fly and fight. most underwing slots load SUU14?
unable to handle weapon store in 2d pit.

I can't fix everything for Gripen. BTW how can be chage the max. G while the AC has heavy stores? Gripen is limited to 5.5 G but this seems to me unreal. I checked RP5, I tried something but so far did not work. The gear height can be fixed.

I checked PF in campaign and TE. There is no missile in CL HP. Maybe there in on the another PF in DB.

A-37. I did not touch it, 100% unimportant for me.

At Pyongtaeg Airbase in campaign , the runway look like stair with step going down. The planes can still run on runway without any problem.

A quick glance at newly-added or used 3d stuff in beta3..

- F-8E hovering over CV clemenceu deck => should edit carrier hitbox value, Z value -58 ~ -61. i like -61.
also carrier nDOF should be 6 => but once i updated the value, the carrier lost it turnning radar in sim :? :?

- Mig-23MLD skin bug. check the edited skins included in original model zip, #3967 and #3968..there're chaff/flare dispenser skins, and pinky-transparent part.
also it does not need extra missile rails for R73 on belly pylons.

- K-30 AAA missing skin.

Thx the report.

Falcon sometimes just ignore that I set transparent part for a skin. I preview thread you could see that MLD skin was fine in beta 2. I have no idea why is bad not MLD skin... I will clear again the area, maybe it helps.

K-30 has skin in my install. AGM-88 had skin problems, because a new AGM-88 model. A swapped back to older one.
JAS-39 skin is missing, I do not how, but it was deleted and I do not have them now. I have to wait to send me again its creators.

Where should I edit the hitbox? BTW is is very strange that the same carrier do not lead to the same result. You can take off from CVN-71 in 1991 but you can't in 1982... :(
