Seems like its all there in Natural Earth, but in a different format. You have to remember that almost all the tools which used the older features data format were created specially to use that said format. Unless a converter is created to convert the new stuff to the old format (slightly possible b...

Hi mate,

Yes, several know how to do it, but you're asking for .exe edits, and with (at least) three different .exes floating around and source code which is harder to find than a virgin in Alabama, I wouldn't be holding out too much hope you get your wish any time soon!

If you want to replace the planner map with something else (I'll assume you've got Perl installed and have downloaded/extracted the required scripts)... 1. Create your new planner map (making sure you create it as per http://www.pmctactical.org/wiki/doku.php?id=falcon4:ui) 2. Copy the campmap.rsc an...

Re: Can Falcon handle 192 theater?
32 x 32 doesn't work - Panama started life as 32 x 32, but as 0.0 is always 0.0 (bottom left corner) only the lower left quarter was used, so I imported Panama 32 x 32 into a 64 x 64 whole sea theater and centralised it.
64 x 64 is the smallest F4 can handle.

Is there a maximum altitude at which airbases work? I have one at around 10,000 feet altitude and no matter what I do I get the "bogged down" effect, where I can't taxi without using AB, and need the entire length of the runway to make it to take-off speed with a clean config...

I'm doing little sections of terrain to test out how the tilesets I created look in-sim, and don't want to go to all the bother of doing long complicated CATE rules for the sake of some 4x4 sections of terrain if the tiles turn out to be rubbish.

I voted as such - ODS - I think the best option cos it already has the basis of a very good texture base (important) and has no water to get in the way. Israel - Similar, has some very good tiles which if worked on would elevate to excellent. Both have the most scope for "real-world" backgrounds to ...

terrain looks cool, it's SRTM. in RV, the terrain will show more polygon or elevation data as you getting closer, and inevitably some slopes or flat hills will pop up and disappear due to data loading/unloading. I tried to fix this popping, or at least minimize it, with T-Rex to no avail... he got ...

I don't know why the path maker don't work for you, perhaps you can try it with 128 resized tiles? It's not a size issue - I cannot even see them on standard texture.zip and .bin files. I have an old Presario here, I might dust it off and install the files on that to see if it helps. Cheers for now...
