AFAIK VTE is concentrating on making a mod that is like an expansion pack. No parts of it can be reused and it's like an extension to the original game.
And those islands are here from long time ago in OFP. They are "just" converted to ArmA.

~Hata Killa: BUT it turns ALL! maps water brown... Even the other addon maps.... VTE changes the water color. Which is the same on all maps. You should have a separate folder for the VTE mod, so it doesn't really make a change if other maps are affected by brown water too. But remains the prob with ...

The water is meant to be brown. Didn't heard about Brown Water Navy? In muddy places like Vietnam, the water is brown. To build upon Killa's message: I'd like to make a +1 to the people count who want the voices back. I know about this whole voice thing and the action lag, but I still like to hear m...

Greets! It's been a while. I'm greatly occupied by RL, so not much (if any) activity from me lately. But ArmA VTE warms my heart :) I'm thinking about making some simple missions as a warmup for my (one and only uber mega) Vietnam campaign. I didn't have the time to make it for OFP, but since the wi...

Re: A little help with my helicopter...
We have the SEAL Team campaign in planning, well planning + editing, I have done what I said in the SEAL Team campaign topic. I would really like to finish that, but basically never get around to it heh I'm glad to hear about that! I've thought that project died since the topic is inactive. PM me i...

Re: A little help with my helicopter...
One oher questions if anyone has a moment, once again I'm sure they don't belong here but how do start a unit in cargo without that unit being a part of the pilot/driver's squad? In the editor there is an option for a unit, how it starts its appearance in the mission. There you can choose "normal" ...

Re: A Dynamic Vietnam Campaign released
Hopefully yes to all your questions
Suggestions are surely welcome. Altough improvements are always made to GDCE and then ported to VTD.
Glad about your OFP moments
Bye

Re: A Dynamic Vietnam Camaign released
Thanks!
Yes, you can play without the markers, it is just needed for DAC when you're setting it up. But if you want to avoid the error messages, you can find the CTI markers in the Mapfact DAC download, or wait for the next version

Re: A Dynamic Vietnam Camaign released
"I mean I always think that its not the addon, but the content of the mission. I ridicule the guys who make some tiny DEMO mission and then it uses like fucking fdf mod. Thats just absolutely crazy. So my personal opinion is that your campaign most definitely wont need A) rucksack-radio because VTE...

Re: A Dynamic Vietnam Camaign released
A new idea, maybe a VTE only release and something like an extended release which uses a minimal number of other addons. Compromise. Or if you (Snake Man) could convince CSJ to let you use some of his boats for VTE 0.3.

Re: A Dynamic Vietnam Camaign released
Thanks for the feedback guys :) "Will you be making pure VTE only when v0.3 comes out, meaning now backpacks needed or even the markers?" Yes. It will be done. I would do it even for VTE 0.2, just need time, but it would be even better if the next release would be for VTE 0.3. Altough can't promise ...

A Dynamic Vietnam Campaign released
Greetings I've recently released a Dynamic Camaign based on GDCE. It uses VTE 0.2 (the reason for this post) and it's a campaign consisting of mini-campaigns called phases. It's on 4 islands and 9 phases in tota. The main thread for Vietnam Tour of Duty 1.00 and also the GDCE thread is in the BIS fo...

Re: Torrent
Me again. In the VTE welcome page it's said that mirrors are welcome, so I found that ofp-4p is hosting VTE also, so maybe you could add it to the page: ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/hosted/ofp/dl/mods/x_vte_v0.2.rar And Imutep (ofp-4p) on the BIS forum will probably host also VTE 0.3 if you ask...

Greets Snake Man
Well, this isn't a torrent, but a ftp, but I think it would be good:
blackdog~ runs a ftp and offers its space for OFP files:
