Re: TE template, and tactical engagements created, AF

OK, here they are. Let me know if the link doesn't work for you, but it works just fine for me. I will edit original post to include links as well. Included in the pack: Three Templates Three TEs containing seven separate packages designed for human play. Hundreds of hours of work! Link: http://ip.1...

Re: TE template, and tactical engagements created, AF

Well SORRY. After posting here and getting no interest (in the time that I monitored the thread), then having more pressing RL stuff come up, and having my squad pretty much show very little continued interest in flying F4 I kind of swept F4 under the rug and didn't come back to check on this post. ...

Re: ODS v0.7 bug reports

You may be right then, I haven't extensively tested this- though I know for sure Doha needs some fixing very badly. It was one of the main bases F-16s were based out of.

Re: ODS v0.7 bug reports

Many, many airbases are messed up, like Saddam Hussein Intl, Doha (a VERY important one to get straight!!!!)... just going off memory here, but maybe about half of them have a bad tiling issue. It seems that most of the ones in Saudi Arabia work fine, except for a few glaring exceptions- like Doha. ...

Re: TE template, and tactical engagements created, AF

I think there is a text file (bfops.cfg?) where you can specify the starting coordinates of Bullseye for the campaign. I'm not at home right now so I don't have any load of AF handy to check. I'll try to check it out and get back asap though and edit this post. It doesn't set the starting point for...

Re: TE template, and tactical engagements created, AF

I wrote bug report from that, will try to change it for next version. Would you have preferred coordinates in mind? Where do you think a good place to put it is? Baghdad? That's a pretty central location. I mean, right now, if you're flying in northern Iraq you have to turn off bullseye calls and g...

Re: TE template, and tactical engagements created, AF

Understood. So you can't just take the objectives list from the campaign and export it to the TE? Anyway, yea, if you have to do the exact same work that I do, then it's understandable. If you want me to, once you release the next installment I can manually do the objectives for the TE and send you ...

TE template, and tactical engagements created, AF

EDIT: Link now available for these missions: http://ip.16thaccw.org:91/UserFiles/Mission%20Files/ODS%20Missions.zip I created- over a year ago now- several different missions for ODS v0.7 and F4 AF. I would have shared them earlier if I had remembered what my account name was here. First, installed ...

Re: Rivers in desert terrain, remove them or not?

It is not sufficient justification to remove a bridge just because the riverbed/streambed is dry. If you have ever been to an arid region, you will notice that dry riverbeds and streams are always bridged. This is so that when it DOES rain, the road is not washed away (and of course, impassable for ...
