Re: Apache cockpit
About the "sense" of the project, BI is going to release ( realistic or not ) a AH-64D Longbow, the PMC one is A version, or if you want you can make a A version yourself, so yeah for me, either way, it makes sense Nice progress there, keep the pics coming i'd like to see how this will come out

Re: Apache cockpit
And if you think that the apache is difficult you can always try something else, it happens that VTE could use a new huey model *hint* *hint*
about A4 cockpit, i've posted some info in the VTE section, reference topic, but if you have already done one before it's not needed anymore

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m109-line.gif very shitty and it's early m109 but maybe is useful for some kind of reference.. at least is front rear side  EDIT: there are few photos of actual m108 ( even if you write 108 google find 109s.. ) and none it's exact side, rear or front. :...

Re: Interior-To Which Extent
It may depends on the vehicle tipe, for example for a APC i would like to have very good interior, so when i'm riding in the cargo there is more immersion in the game, a good feeling, instead for, don't know, self propelled artillery, it's not THAT needed of course, but APC should have good interior...

Re: ACE Mod
Yeah it has been discussed a bit, AFAIK we will try to make VTE compatible with all the core features of ACE2, all those can really improve the gameplay, the modders just need full documentation on " how to" make their own content 100% ace featured ( magazine sys, CSW, weight, etc.. )

Re: Apache cockpit
Sure, just wait till tomorrow for a complete list, i'm on laptop but the most needed cockpit i recall was for the A4 Skyhawk, it kinda ruined a very good exterior model ( i think it's colonel klink's model ) with a flawed cockpit

Re: Apache cockpit
If you like cockpit so much we have some Aircraft that could use a cockpit "lifting" in VTE
Anyway nice progress so far on the Apache one. You can always try to make the whole Apache model, surely that can only improve your modelling skill

Re: minimalHit example tank config
That's very interesting, finally now different type of armor can be simulated. For example a high caliber munition can deal damage to a lightly armored APC but not on a MBT etc.. very interesting and looking at the config seems like different part can have different "minimal hit" too :D mobility kil...

I will try to report to you the most important thing that would need to be fixed before the final release, but hell i can't wait to move onto A2, so 2009 final release sounds good to me
