Editing Campaign Descriptions and Names

Post by marvin157th » 2007-10-16 06:24:10

Hey guys,

I am wondering how you edit the campaign description box? I looked all through TacEdit, and I cannot find it? Also the title of that box?

Thanks
Jody

C:\MicroProse\Falcon4\terrdata\theaterdefinition

Yourcampaign.tdf

Check default ones for example.

Hi there,

Thanks for the info. I checked that out, and that is not what I meant sorry.

I meant when you are in a theater, for example Balkans. And you select one of the three types of campaigns. The bottom right hand box displays a description for that campaign. Something like where you edit the box in a TE. I looked through TacEdit and cannot see where that is done anywhere.

Man, I feel like an idiot asking this, as I once new how to do this, but I have looked and looked and cannot seem to find them.

Where are the files for those campaign selection buttons? I mean for the Balkans theater, to choose 1 of the 3 types of theaters?

Thanks
Jody

Do you want the files that control the buttons actions? Or do you want the files that are the graphic presentation of those buttons?

It's the following files:
CAMP_SCENARIO_1.tga
CAMP_SCENARIO_1GREEN.tga
CAMP_SCENARIO_2.tga
CAMP_SCENARIO_2GREEN.tga
CAMP_SCENARIO_3.tga
CAMP_SCENARIO_3GREEN.tga

They are all contained in the

select.idx and select.rsc

resource file pair.

Sherlock

What terrain scripts do you use to unpack/pack *.rsc files?

Thanks,

Epic
