Hey guys. For my strike missions I always use LGBs. Honestly I have never used GBUs like GBU-31 etc. What is the difference? I am asking because both are guided but wheb other aeroplanes are equipped with the bomb they do not carry the LANTIRN pod. How is this bomb guided if there is no pod to guide it? I am thinking of trying a TE mission to see how the bomb works.

The JDAM's are GPS-gided In RL. In Falcon4 they're handled like unpowered Mavericks. Fire and forget bombs, if you like. :p

Yeah I just found out by flying a TE mission. Is this the way that they are fired in reality or are thay fired in a different way?quote:Originally posted by Spike:

The bomb is preprogrammed with the necessary target-data prior to takeoff or via IFDL during ingress. Delivery should be pretty much the same as for a dumb bomb but I'm not shure about that point.
