regarding dem & dwc info

Post by lamurt » 2007-01-11 09:51:26

heya folks,

iirc the terrain tutorial and related articles are available for quite some so i'm wondering if it's possible to obtain improved dem & dwc data or the sites in the tutorials are still the best option for their price (free fgs! :D)?

regards.

There was this some SRTM elevation data at least in OpenFalcon, but I don't know anything about it except that its supposed to be 250m elevation data while our traditional DEM from tutorials is 1000m.

Good question...where did b and z get their 250m SRTM data (what source). And could we possibly approach them for using their tools they programmed to convert it to Falcon format?...
