Info on terain

Post by Guest » 2000-12-06 18:17:00

Where can I get good info on terains, I mean
topografic maps of area's .Found alot of maps and airfoto's though not a map where I can distinguis forest from farmland from desert or swamp.

Also should I place all the airfields in the terrain or just the military ones.

finally, as I'm gathering info on my terrain
I found out that a lot of runways in my terain have headings(or two runways) that aren't supported in Falcon4 is there anyway to tackle this problem, or do you have a good enough solution that is OK for the moment.

Before I forget after dumping Iceland, I decided to do a California/Nevada terain (with a little Mexico)

Hope you can answer my questions

Well I dont know about good maps for terrain feature types.

About the rest of your guestions, I think you should decide yourself. Though Falcon has two runway airbases, yet I dont think its degrades the feeling of the theater too much if some airbases are miss aligned.

btw do your theater have a web pages?

I decided to do a California/Nevada terrain (with a little Mexico)

No I don't have a web page.

Will this 3D importing be possible in the (near) future??
Airports
Bridges (need a Golden Gate)
Buildings

Is there a list of bridge headings and length
for tacedit cant see any logic in current names.

Also are the wingman, tower, awacs voices editable, Can't find them in the sounds directory.
Found a 28,196KB file called falcon.tlk is this the one an can it somehow be opened en altered if it is ?????

Hope you can help me

Hehe, no promise for that.
but current a/c should be enough for a Red Flag exercise.
